Description of Significance AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN DR. H.W. FAUCETT AND THE CHOCTAW NATION RESULTED IN THE CREATION OF THE CHOCTAW OIL AND REFINING COMPANY. THE FRUIT OF THAT EFFORT CAME IN 1885 WHEN THIS, THE FIRST WELL DRILLED, PRODUCED MODEST RESULTS. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 4/13/72.
